This month iENTR picked up three features that customers running busier sites have been asking for. All three are live now on every plan, with no terminal reinstall needed: your paired iPads pick the changes up on their next sync.
Zones: restricted areas within a site
A site is rarely one door. There is the gate everyone uses, then the plant room, the secure workshop or the airside area that only some people should enter.
You can now create zones on any site from the site page. Grant people access to a zone (permanently or until a set time), assign a terminal to guard it, then that terminal only opens for the people on the list. Everyone else is politely refused, the refusal is logged, the Who is here page shows exactly who is inside each restricted zone right now.
Timed site access
Not everyone belongs on a site forever. Visitors, short-term contractors or auditors can now be given access that ends by itself: permanent, until a set date and time, or for a number of hours or days from now. When the window closes the terminal simply stops accepting them, with a clear message to see the site manager.
Licence rules that do the chasing
Inductions, tickets and certificates expire quietly. Licence rules make the expiry loud in the right places:
- Set a validity period per licence type (a 12-month induction, for example) so expiry dates fill themselves in.
- Show a reminder on the terminal while someone signs in, on every entry during the warning window, with your own wording.
- Make a licence mandatory for access, with a grace period from enrolment so new starters have time to produce it before the door locks.
- Report on upcoming expiries from the Reports page: filter by type, status or time window, then export the list as a CSV.
- Have admins notified automatically the day a licence enters its warning window and the day it lapses.
Also shipped
Profile photo capture at enrolment (optional, per company) with the photo shown on the People table. A feature request form on the Support page, because updates like this one start life as a customer suggestion. Updated pricing pages so the website and the app finally quote the same numbers.
If you want a walkthrough of any of this on your own site, book one from the Support page. It takes fifteen minutes.
